MICHAEL JAI WHITE
Michael Jai White is an American actor, writer, director, and martial artist from Brooklyn, New York. He has made quite a name for himself by starring in numerous films and television series ranging from The Dark Knight, Blood and Bone, Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse and Spawn which made him the first African American to portray a comic book superhero in a major motion picture. White has also created various projects of his own throughout his career. One of his most famous creations would be Black Dynamite, a Blaxploitation action film he wrote and starred in.
ANIKA NONI ROSE
Anika Noni Rose has established herself as a premiere actress within the industry. Some of her most recognizable works include Disney’s The Princess and The Frog, Dreamgirls, For Colored Girls and her Tony Award winning performance in the pilot episode of Beast Mode. Not only is she a seasoned Film and TV actress, she has spent some time on Broadway. She has been in productions like A Raisin in the Sun, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Carmen Jones and has even won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in Caroline, or Change.

Byron Minns is not only an actor but a talented writer. He co-wrote Black Dynamite and The Outlaw Johnny Black with co-star, Michael Jai White. He was trained at Lincoln Center, H.B. Studios, and the Yale Annex and has a passion for martial arts, dialects, boxing, and basketball. Minns has appeared in many theatrical, television, and film productions, including the Tony Award-Winning play, Fences. Other credits include Forrest Gump, Trespass, South Central, Above the Rim, Black Dynamite, and the upcoming Outlaw Johnny Black.

Before becoming an actress, Erica Ash was a backup singer and a runway model. She appeared in Broadway’s The Lion King and even worked overseas. Ash got her start on the Logo TV’s The Big Gay Sketch Show and was a cast member for 2 seasons. She became the fifth ever African American female cast member on MadTV back in 2008. Ash is known for her roles in Scary Movie 5, the Starz sitcom Survivor’s Remorse and Shades of Blue. You can catch Erica on her most recent projects, Skin in the Game and Legacies.

Kym Whitley is an Emy Award Nominated American actress and comedian best known for her roles on television sitcoms such as Animal Practice, The Boondocks, Young & Hungry, The Parkers, Sparks and more. Her most popular film credits include Rango, Fist Fight and Next Friday. In 2004, Whitley was nominated for a BET Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Deliver Us From Eva. Whitley had a docuseries called Raising Whitley, which premiered on the OWN Network in 2013 with a record breaking 1.2 million viewers.

Forged from a dark beginning, Tommy Davidson is a man who graces us with his bright energy and fills us with laughter. He started his stand-up comedy career in 1986, when a friend got him to perform at a strip club in Washington, D.C. Through sheer hard work, Davidson’s persistence and talent caught the attention of major promoters who went on to book him as an opening act for people like Patti LaBelle and Luther Vandross. His continued success brought him to Hollywood where he eventually made his way into TV acting alongside greats such as Jaime Foxx, Jim Carrey, and Damon Wayans in Living in Color. He debuted on the big screen in Strictly Business (1991) with co-star Halle Berry. Davidson’s since been performing on screen and continues doing stand-up comedy, with huge success.

CHAPMAN
Chapman’s career prior to acting consisted of being a doorman and a stand-up comedian. He had worked at the Boston Office of Cultural Affairs, where he had been discovered by the late director, Ted Demme, who casted Chapman as Mickey Pat in Monument Ave. Since then, he has claimed nearly 70 credits under his belt and has also produced two films, Bad Country and Lonely Street. Notable works of Chapman’s include City on a Hill, Person of Interest, and Unstoppable. Chapman lives in Massachusetts with wife Meaghan, and their two children.

This man is extremely athletic, undeniably talented, and considered one of the greatest football players of all time. You know we can only be talking about the one and only, Jim Brown. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971 and named the greatest professional football player ever in 2002. Brown was a running back for the Cleveland Browns from 1957-1965. His acting career began in 1964 with the role of a buffalo soldier in an action-Western film called Rio Conchos. Now with over 50 credits, Brown is most known for Mars Attacks!, The Running Man, Any Given Sunday, and The Dirty Dozen.

Born in Michigan and raised in the south side of Chicago, Baker had developed a passion for film at a young age. His interests endured as he attended New Mexico State University. With fellow imaginative friends, Baker was able to bolster his creativity as they brought their ideas to life, writing and directing films. He began developing his comedic talent as he hosted various events on the NMSU campus. Later, he moved to California to pursue a career as a stand-up comic and actor. Baker has performed stand-up comedy around the world and has over 30 acting credits. He has appeared on two seasons of NBC’s Last Man Standing.

This American film, TV and stage actor, writer, director and producer is a living legend. Glynn Turman’s career started when he was 13, starring in the original Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun, opposite Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, Claudia McNeil and Diana Sands. He continued his love of stage and starred in more productions such as Good Boys, Harper’s Ferry, The Visit, House of Atreus and Slow Dance on the Killing Ground. His film career began in the 1970’s with several blaxploitation films like Five on the Black Hand Side, Thomasine & Bushrod, Together Brother and more.

We don’t hear too often about happy accidents, but one definite happy accident was when Chris Browning enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts with the intent of becoming a screenwriter, only to discover it’s a school for actors only. After booking a Dr. Pepper commercial, Browning’s career quickly launched. He is now an actor with 77 credits under his belt, a writer, and a producer. He is known for his roles in Bright, Ray Donovan, and Westworld, among many others. Browning’s greatest role is being a devoted father to three girls.

With titles such as actor, producer, poet, author, writer, photographer, director and humanitarian, it is hard to believe that one man is capable of doing it all, but that man is none other than Michael Madsen. His career spans over 25 years and over 300 film & TV credits. His most iconic role to date is Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. Madsen has been in several Tarantino films, such as Kill Bill Vol.1 & Vol. 2 and the most recent film, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Madsen’s first major film role was in Thelma and Louise.

This singer-songwriter, poet, actress and model is a force to be reckoned with. Jill Scott is a multifaceted artist with humble beginnings. She joined her local theater troop in Philadelphia, eventually earning her spot on the Canadian cast of Rent. Her musical career took off after connecting and writing for artists like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Questlove, Erykah Badu, Common and the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith. Her 2000 debut album, “Who is Jill Scott?” is certified platinum and received three Grammy nominations, along with NAACP Image Awards and a Soul Train Award. Ms. Scott maybe a soulful and successful singer but she is also a talented actress of film and TV. Her debut roles include Hounddog and Tyler Perry’s Why did I Get Married, also starring Michael Jai White.

Michael Bearden is a true virtuoso. He is an adorned music director, keyboardist, arranger conductor and composer. He is well versed in all genres which makes his clientele list exponentially large. There isn’t an artist you know that hasn’t worked with him! He is most famous for working with artists like Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder and many, many more. He has also been involved musically for plenty of Films and TV events including but not limited to The Superbowl, The Oscars, The Grammy’s, Saturday Night Live, The Primetime Emmy Awards, Four Brothers, Maid in Manhattan, Baby Boy, Shaft, and The Bodyguard. Michael is currently in production for The Outlaw Johnny Black as the head composer.

Randy Couture is a collegiate wrestler and fighter turned actor from Everett, Washington. He served as a four time US Olympic wrestling team alternate as a soldier in the U.S. Army, and is also a 6 time world heavyweight and light heavyweight UFC champion and Hall of Famer. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in foreign language literature and is also fluent in German. He is best known for starring in all three of The Expendables, Ambushed, and The Scorpion King 2.

A stand-up comedian, actor, DJ and author, Russell Peters is a man of many talents. This Canadian native began performing in Toronto in 1989. In 2004, he performed on the Canadian tv show, Comedy Now! In 2007, he was the first comedian to sell out Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. In 2013, he was number three on Forbes’ list of highest paid comedians and became the first comedian to get a Netflix stand-up special. Peters produced the Netflix documentary Hip-Hop Evolution, for which he won an International Emmy Award. His upcoming projects include Clifford The Big Red Dog and The Opening Act.

Paul Logan, an accomplished martial artist, stuntman and actor, career in acting began after deciding to pursue it full-time. After a few small parts on a few early films and television episodes, Logan gained better screen time with the movie Killers. He notched several other credits to his performing belt through the course of the 1990s and into the 21st century. In the mid 2000s, Paul Logan worked in several fantasy, Sci-Fi and/or creature films. The first of these was The Curse of the Komodo followed by the supernatural horror film Way of the Vampire in which he starred as Dracula.

What better a person to have in a Western than someone professionally known as “Cowboy?” His ring name for MMA and kickboxing instantly excites. Cerrone began professional bull riding in high school at Air Academy High School in Colorado. At the age of 20, he began training in kickboxing and Muay Thai and after a few competitive wins, pursued a career in MMA. Now a retired kickboxer, he holds an outstanding record of 28 wins of 29 fights, with one draw. He is still active in UFC and currently ranked #5 in the UFC lightweight rankings and with 36 wins and 13 losses in MMA, Cerrone has earned recognition as having the most wins, most finishes, and most knockdowns in UFC history, among many others.

Jalyn Hall is a rising star known for his roles in Shaft, Black-ish, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Atlanta, and his recurring role in All Americans. He debuted on screen in Star in 2017. Although only being 12 years old, Jalyn has demonstrated a dominant on-screen presence and an impressively increasing acting ability.

Born in Mexico, raised in East Los Angeles, Paul Rodriguez is a Mexican-American actor and stand-up comedian. He had joined the United States Air Force in his earlier years, and used the GI bill to go to college with the intent of becoming an attorney. After taking elective courses, Rodriguez developed a strong interest in comedy which he began pursuing. He developed his stand-up act at The Comedy Store. He caught his break being a warm-up comic on the sitcom Gloria. Rodriguez is known for his roles in A Million to Juan, Rat Race, and The World’s Fastest Indian, among other works. He is part owner of Hollywood’s Laugh Factory as well as owner of agricultural operations in California’s Central Valley.

Born in Fayetteville, Georgia, the talented Gary Anthony Williams is an actor and voice actor with over 200 credits. Before moving to Los Angeles, he had started his career by becoming involved in theater, comedy, and TV in Atlanta, where he acted with the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, and was a part of the longest running improv troupe, Laughing Matters, among other roles. Williams is well known in television for his role in Malcolm in the Middle and the bailiff in The Amanda Show, along with voice acting for characters in shows such as American Dad!, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Robot Chicken, Black Dynamite, and many more. He won the BTVA Television Voice Acting Award in 2015 for his role in The Boondocks. Williams has also acted in films such as Harold & Kumar go to White Castle and Soul Plane.

Voss is multi-lingual, fluent in Danish, English, German, French, and Luxembourgish. His linguistics skills have come in handy as Voss is a very talented voice actor. From an early age, he had strong interests in acting and became involved in theater in Denmark and Luxembourg. He was recognized for his talent in 2009 for his role of Ivan in The Interview in which he won Best Breakout Action Star from the AOF International Film Festival. Voss is also a World Champion Marital Artist receiving training from esteemed martial artists included Michael Jai White, Brice Faradji, Grandmaster Felix Roiles, and Granmaster Zhou Ting.

Paul Sloan is an American actor and writer. He is known for his role in Stiletto, The Scorpion King, and in both the TV series and film, Vigilante Diaries. Sloan has most recently written for 10 Double Zero, a film currently in pre-production in which he will be playing the character, Ray. His project Black Antenna, which will also star him as character Alpha, is currently being filmed.

The old adage “hard work pays off” is exemplified by this Chicago native. After performing five shows a day in the city of Venice, California, and repeatedly leaving a positive impression on crowds, the rising comedic star was recognized by the city. Venice has honored Colyar with his shoe and hand prints in the cement of the Venice Boardwalk. He gained national attention when he won the Grand Prize Comedy championship and $100,000 on the TV show, Star Search, donating half of his winnings to homeless charities in Los Angeles. Multi-talented, Coylar is an actor, comedian, entertainer, voiceover artist, TV/radio personality, and author. He has noteworthy credits such as The Princess and the Frog, Norbit, and House Party 3.

Also known as, “The Hammer.” Athleticism driving him through high school with track and football, and into college, Williamson began his career in professional football after playing for Northwestern. He had played for different teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was given the nickname “The Hammer,” for delivering powerful, karate-like forearm blows to the heads of his opponents. Williamson started his acting career alongside another former football player, Jim Brown, in films such as Three the Hard Way, Take a Hard Ride, One Down, Two to Go, and Original Gangstas. He went on to play roles in a number of films which were considered part of the “blaxploitation” genre, such as Black Caesar, and its sequel, Hell Up in Harlem.

Hailing from San Mateo, California, and towering at 6’4”, Bostwick is a stage and screen actor, as well as a singer. He is best known for his role as Brad Majors in the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He has over 170 credits in Broadway shows, TV series, and films. Bostwick is a Golden Globe winner for his role in War and Remembrance, was nominated for the Tony Award three times, winning once, for his role in The Robber Bridegroom. Benefitting him for future stage performances, he was an occasional circus performer. He had broken into the film realm in 1971 with a minor role in the film Jennifer on My Mind. Other films that Bostwick is well known include: Megaforce, Spy Hard, and FDR: American Badass!

Anyone familiar with Jiu-Jitsu knows of the Machado family. Rigan Machado is one of five brothers who are known for their practice of Jiu-Jitsu and were trained by the Gracie family, cousins of the Machado’s and known for their development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Rigan Machado began training at the age of 5 and at 14, took training and competing more seriously, training daily. Machado is a living legend in the realm of Jiu-Jitsu. He had an astounding record of 365 wins and only 2 losses. He had also created a record by having 19 matches in a single day, and winning each by submission. He currently teaches at The Academy Beverly Hills, in Beverly Hills, California where he has trained various celebrities like Keanu Reeves, Brie Larson, Ashton Kutcher, and many more.
